Life As Snow

Life As Snow

A Poem by Joslynn Decker

As the soft flakes fall
I dream
Flying through the air
I question
Landing upon yet another bare branch
I wish
If I were a snowflake where would I land
What would I look like
Would I look like another and confuse the others
Be more different than if I were different
Silence echoes through my head
Baffled by what could be
Maybe what should be
Yet another sun comes and all is gone
If I were a snowflake
With all my white crystals
I'd return home
Wherever that may be
Growing and changing with the season
Only to return upon another
What would I land on this time?
