Portrayal of Faith in the TempestA Poem by One Hundred Fingers
Exhale - you steal my oxygen;
Inhale - I steal your mind. Tumbling through a symphony Of mismatched thoughts and rhymes Each note, each color, warps the balance Gravity no longer cares Delirious yet mysterious - Are you even there? Heart racing, soul chasing Desperate embracing, fingers tracing Outlines of the shadows That the light casts on the wall Darkness is the only thing that makes any sense at all. Feelings evade, sensations invade Emotions betrayed, heart dismayed By the masters of time and space That keeps us apart for now Patience is a delicate branch That we're both perched on somehow. Accept - you cannot change the wind; Reject - the fear that comes to kill. Speeding through life's traffic lights Careless and unafraid Waiting for the right time and the right place To be beautifully portrayed.
