Broken

Broken

A Poem by Lulwa

You feel that fist in your throat

Everytime you swallow

You hear that screaming sound

In your head that follows

The throbbing heartbeats

The sweat in the corners

You can feel your soul broken

Like a mirror shatter

In the ground a million pieces

Just a memory

In the past

A memory like tear drops in the rain

And it should not matter

What happened in the past

But you feel that fist

You feel that sweat

You feel shattered
