I wrote this poem when I was 18 and it was published in a book called 'Mixed Emotions'. It is very simple and explains what I thought of life when I was at a very young age. My poetry and words have grown more since then, but for 18, I think I did pretty
Life is a rollercoaster that no one can control.
We're always trying to be happy and find,
What's missing in our souls.
Because people are so nasty, it changes who we are.
But everyday is new and we can have a fresh start.
Whenever you feel alone, remember you are not.
Someone out there cares, your always in their thoughts.
As for all the happiness which life will always bring.
Enjoy every moment, appreciate every little thing.
The most wonderful thing in life,
Would have to be love.
It takes away our sorrows and helps when life gets tough.
No matter what life throws at you, always remain strong.
As long as you have love, nothing will go far wrong.
For an 18 yr old, this is a remarkable piece :)
"Enjoy every moment, appreciate every little thing."
This realization doesn't come to people, even those belong to a much later spectrum of age.
Amazing work!
I think you should stay as young as you can
for as long as you can.
Life is a roller coaster I AGREE.
I changed someone on my top 10, then
opened it up to find you. If you want to
stay I will just keep you.

A pleasant, positive write about life and it's salve, Love. At 18 this is an excellent write. I hope at 21 your positive state of mind has not changed.
Very mature at 18, and insightful. Your words for the most part are true,
but in the last line...as long as you have love, nothing will go wrong. I have
to say even in love we are tested, and it's not that anything will go wrong,
it's can we get through the trails, and take that love with us. Just my
own perspective;).
I 'm always intrigued by this one word...Life. Some how it's one plot with millions of different dimensions and ofcourse with ziliion's of different phases. And with that, i guess age is one factor that you can skip out...as reasoning do comes with age, but it also needs some observation and learning...they are ageless. :)
A good effort...just carry on...if it's not natural...it'll come through practice. :)))
good write, and your words ring true... roller coaster that no one can control... ain't that the truth!!?? If life could be controlled... mine "might have been" different but, I'm enjoying my journey in spite the cards dealt me, that slowed me down a bit but, I keep rollin' out of bed each day and going out the door to see what comes my way to keep me busy and involved. Oh, I'm 44 and have been on those coaster rides having fun along my way. ;~) Sallie Bear
