Dedication to a Poet

Dedication to a Poet

A Poem by 1809 Black Plague December

Dedication to a Poet

MIshel Reyes

August 2023

As T.H.S. Elliot

In thown letters of love,

Where about

Whence met?

Welt in thine sky

So far away what felt to her knees

Her heart

Felt the same?

Regreting every note of yearn

Defying the odds of dew

I dream of the perfection: thine love

Resenting the inaudible

Are thou death, mute, blind like I?

Never admiscible to bleed the affection to yearn love

My tears year passion,

The crackles of birds baffle

You fell in love

Where about

Why not together,

I think these words are more than deserving of a far greater audience than the thirty fleeting visitors who passed this way before me ..

I don't know how you managed to keep the spellcheck red & blue highlights, but I think it is probably a stroke of genius .. All in all, a fine and original dedication ..

This love poem is so full of wonderful lines and word choices. It is layered meaning and I enjoyed reading it.. Well done.Incidentally how did you keep the spell checker working? Could never do that. But then I couldn't write this poem either.

Hellos, Ken, um, don't know, :)
thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it; ---Maynard
"You fell in love, where about, why not together?" One sided love is no picnic. Baffling birds notwithstanding.

Thank you so much Cherrie Palmer, I melt with you :)
Longing and unanswered questions about a love that seems to be distant and unfulfilled.

Interesting combinations and images. "The crackles of birds baffle "
"Defying the odds of dew "
"Welt in thine sky"
These give pause for thought.
