As summer begins to fade awayA Poem by 00ZEROAs the summer begins to fade away I can already feel my fingers tingling The sun comes out but it does not stay For as long as the leaves begin to fall I’ll wish that I could catch them Back on their branches I’d put them all If only there was a way To turn back time And keep my summer’s day With all its warmth for me to store within Yet here comes winter Already chilling as if Id committed a sin To whom might I owe this great pleasure? I blame myself for not making better Use of my time instead I chose leisure I think I’ll write myself a letter For when winters past Maybe I can talk some sense Reminding myself not to waste it Because summers gone way too fast © 2016 00ZEROFeatured Review
