the joys you steal

I wrote this after helping a friend once not too long ago

with a strength beyond belief

ghostly you flow by

prowling every nook

naked  full of joy I stand

unknown to you

my life an open book

 

stirred

I relish in

life's blanketed hand

then by chance

a warmth erupts

breathless and in awe I stand

 

we mold into balls of fire

ecstasy beyond belief

then

with overwhelming joy

together we bring relief

 

secret moments shared

our lives intertwined

our bond

molded

bound

by an unbreakable vine

 

a shadow falls

across my brow

slowly

painfully

our moments pass

 

I stand here now

known to you

soullessly and alone I feel

i turn away

as you flow by

new joys that cross your path

to  steal
