Run for you

Run for you

A Poem by Jules
"

An old poem i wrote,

"

My soggy feet drag close to the ground,

The moist dirt touches my pale skin.

I feel as if I am a big hound,

I am fighting for a chance to win.

I watch you leave and I hear a melody in my head,

Pleading for this one chance to get you back

Was it that one thing I said?

You always said it was everything I had that lacked.

I run for you, like I promised for you,

I love you.

My hands drip with my sweat

Beads trickling down my skin

Running for you,

Like I promised too.

Now you leave me behind,

Like i was nothing at all.

You used to be so kind,

Now it's like there's a huge brick wall.

The depts we go through for love. We put our lives and sanity on the line just for that special one. It hurts when we're stabbed in the back and left to run in our own tears and sorrow. Now you know what it's like to run for someone else...its now time you to run for yourself! Nice work

Wow. First post but brilliant. This theme of separation and detatchment is so simply and brilliantly stated through the final lines. Great job!
