Tears

Tears

A Poem by Ashleigh
"

I wrote this poem as an English assignment for grade 9 so be brutal. And as a note, the entire story within it is true.

"
The tears in my eyes,
Caused by the dread and the fear,
The love and the loathing left behind.
The thought of loosing you,
The thought of leaving you behind,
I loose myself in the blood and the tears,
The hope and the pain.

The thought of you lying there,
All alone.
The tube in your throat,
The hospital bed.
A tear hits your cheek,
Your friends are crying.
Slowly your eyes open,
You look up blankly.
You say three small words,
With such great meaning,
"I love you."

And then your body dies.
But your spirit will always live on
Within the hearts of those you love.
You'll always be cherished,
You'll always be heard.
Your story, one of sadness,
Forever, will be told.
A Fifteen-year-old boy
Dead from suicide.
The broken heart was too much,
But the knife; all it took.
