Silence

Silence

A Poem by Kristin Brecoe
"

A gift that provoked silence.

"

Silence

A gift from you,

a compliment of your love;

I am struck speechless

but...

Speechless is nothing

in comparison to

admiring glances

from...

Others I barely know,

Stealing lush sounds,

Lost from my ears

and...

I do not understand

why the mention of your gift

has drowned the noise around me.

I hear...

Myself whisper your name,

nothing more,

nothing less...

I make of it BRILLIANCE! lol. I love the look you gave it, too, with the words being different sizes and fonts. Sometimes, people mess the look up when they do that, but you did it elegant and simple justice. I think that thinking of silence as a gift is an ADORABLE way of saying that being left speechless is a present! Why have I never thought of that? So simple but rings true. Oh, and the whisper of that certain name.
LOVE IS IN THE AIR... haha. Love this one!
