Rain

Rain

A Poem by .mate.feed.kill.repeat.
"

in bad need of washing my hair

"

i think nothing
of the thunder
crashing outside my
window
with the water
barely touching
the glass—
where is the water,
anyway?—and my
headache somehow
feels
insignificant now.
i welcome the rain
with open
arms and
i wish i had
some shampoo
.

This is good. Your writing reminds me of Charles Bukowski's, in that it's personal, immediate and unsentimental. You managed to create a sense of wry helplessness in this poem. Good work.
