Walls

Walls

A Poem by .mate.feed.kill.repeat.
"

I //never fell apart; I just started to break.

"

i’m like the walls.
they’re like the roof.
i hold them up as they fall apart.

funny thing about the walls though
is that when one of them starts to crack,
the roof isn’t affected at all.

a/n: You’d have to see it from my perspective, I guess.

another really cool piece of writing. I like that your work is succinct and to the point. It's not too overwhelmed with words to a point where it suffocates the emotions you're trying to communicate. Gentle and just right... well done. There were places where I felt the words disconnected me a little, like I had to double take and reset myself to read the second stanza. It was a little bit of a pity because I was so incredibly impressed and captured by the amazing introduction.
Though, in saying that, writing is subjective- and the disconnection could most definitely be an effect you were going for.
You've definitely got talent :)
