Gentle Wind

Gentle Wind

A Poem by Alana Zombie
"

a serene poem about letting go of your troubles

"

And if I could breathe alongside

 The troubles that you face

  I’d blow them all away

Into dusk, and they’d be gone

    In the wind

     Flying through the midnight

Like an autumn leaf on parade

And it twirls, and it whistles

        In the wind

         Divine, is the harmony

That you never seem to seek

           Weeping in your willow

            Hallow, blind compassion

I’d greet these aspects at the door

              And graze your soaking lips

With the tips of my fingers

                Our hearts would fly away

Paper bags, floating down an alleyway

As a gentle breeze lifts them upward

And they sail away to heaven

                    In the wind

I’d be gentle in the way I touch

The way I speak, the way you smile

Seal your worries off and send them

                        Away in the wind
