The Art of Sleeping

The Art of Sleeping

A Poem by Alana Zombie
"

A poem to read when you're angry at an ex. Enjoy.

"

Look at you

Poised, like a stiff lip

Poised like poison

In the mishap of your decent

Or the obscurities you deny

Either way, you sit

Still as stone

Right as ever

Conjoined with hate

Like twins

Attached at the hip and heart

I woke up this morning

Laid in bed for a while

My eyes heavy

Like wet blankets

I laid there in oblivion

Unsure of whether to just

Get up and face the day

Or fall asleep forever

Then I remembered you…

And went back to sleep

this is so nice he is like a poison and sit still like a stone ,and when wake up,you feel so heavy ,heave eyes ,heavy hear, everything you do is like a big task removing a blanket is like removing a mountain from over your body ,wonderful words to describe life when it goes so ugly in our eyes, and then you think shall i wake up or back to sleep forever ,and when thinking of him ,you just fall back ,lovely way of showing how feeling is when life is crumbling over our head and we are never satisfied ,lovely work ,really enjoyed it
