Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by ~ Czarina Iris ~
"

I step into the room and call out hello but no one will hear me, this much I know...

"
I walk out of the building
And down the long lonely street
The birds they are chirping
The rocks below creak
The cars drive on past
Without one backward look
And leave me alone
With the wind and my book

I step into the house
And call out hello
But no one will hear me
This much I know
For the bedrooms are empty
The lights are all out
And I am alone
That I do  not doubt

I cook a small meal
And at the table I sit
All alone I am here
With a single light lit
The phone never rings
Not a letter for me
It seems I'm invisible
They've all let me be

I enter my room
And turn on the TV
The sounds they bring comfort
To a sad weary me
But the night is too long
For the lonely to bear
It's nights such as these
When I wish someone were there

Author's Note

~ Czarina Iris ~
Oh my god, this has to be from April at least. I mean, by this point all the snow was gone so I could walk without a big poofy jacket.
Either way, it's old. I'm fond of it but it's not my favourite.

beautiful and simple...

A lot of people are scared of loneliness. On the flip side, a lot of people enjoy some alone time like me. I like the poem though. Good job!
