Letting Go
A Poem by ~ Czarina Iris ~
That's why the hardest part is letting go
Holding tightly
Clinging, desperate
To hold to what I know.
To what's familiar.
Inching closer,
Despite my wishing,
To the impending ledge.
Gone, it's gone.
I'm falling.
Grasping for something,
Anything, but still I'm falling.
Will I crash?
Will I drown?
Will someone catch me?
Will I catch myself?
How can I know
What tomorrow will bring?
I can't and I don't
That's why the hardest part
Is letting go

I recently chose my courses for my grad year, my last year of high school before University.
I never really thought much about what I'd do after graduation, not till grade 9 (and even then, not that in depth) and now that graduation is so close, I can't help but feel scared and insecure.
We all talk about our dreams and these outragious plans - myself included - but what if they don't work out? What if you fall flat on your face and can't pick yourself up again? What if you fail miserably and have no where to turn afterwards?
I'm not ready for the real world yet. Can you tell?
