Memories

Memories

A Poem by ~ Czarina Iris ~
"

The darkness can bring back some memories that make us want to give up everything. But, if you let them control you, what will you ever accomplish?

"

A silver night on a blackened road

And here I stand alone

The path before me lies clear ahead

Yet I do not move

Shadows walk the path

I know them very well

They are the shadows of my past

They are my living Hell

Memories of wicked times

Of nights that almost killed me

These demons bring them flooding back

Whithout showing any mercy

At last I take a step

The demons clear the way

The demons that once haunted me

I'm ushering away

Those times will always haunt me

In fact I'm still afraid

But at least I know

That I can still be brave

I really think you did a great job writing this poem. I love the flow and the message within it. The last line is true and this poem was honest. Good write.

This had a nice, easy rhythm and I enjoyed the concept, it was very relatable. Well done, my dear.

I can relate to this so much, you have no idea! Very well written. Loved it! (But the end is my favorite!) ;p
