Open Your Eyes and Die

Open Your Eyes and Die

A Poem by -Vi-

That moment in the rain when you've lost all hope
when you can't and you shouldn't but tears just flow
You're stronger than you want to be
you wish you could just lean back
and sit on pity
and run away
But you can't, you won't,
at least for now

You aren't nearly as strong as you need to be
to fight your way through all the messes you've made
Blame the change,
blame the fire, burning inside you
blame the rain falling into you
temping you to take a last breath and drown

How dare you cry,
how dare you think
how dare you try
how dare you break

You tears can't save you
they never could,
they never will

You can't forget
you're scared to push on
You want to claim weakness
but they just won't let you
You'll sit on your thought raging fights inside you
and fight yourself and hate yourself
for everything you don't think you can be
