The Game

The Game

A Poem by -Anna-

You play love like its a twisted game
You bring in clues and riddles
I wish you wouldn't toy like that
I wish you wouldn't fiddle.
I loved you, you said you did too
But all you did was lie
Instead it was lust
You had all my trust
And now a part of me has died.
You promised and promised
I cried and cried
You wanted and wanted
And lied and lied.
I couldn't give you what you needed
And slowly but surely this game was defeated.
You won with all the charm and glory
I lost it all with a heartbreaking story
I miss the days we used to have
I miss the ways we talked and laughed
I wish that you would come back to me
But deep inside i know
It's not meant to be.

i like this very much. its direct. and when it comes to heartbreak, nothing can stand the weight of our emotions. i feel this deeply, i know what that feels like.
