A Poem by Alan Torres

Tonight before you sleep.
Close your eyes and mute the outside.
Just think.
Remember your life a year ago.
Two years.
Four & six.
Think how everything changed.
Now do not think about next year.
Or in two years.
Four or six.
Because it does not matter.
Chances are whatever you imagine wont happen.
So think about now and how blessed you are.
Its easy to complain but hard to thank.
So step down from you ego cloud.
Thank God because you made it this far.
Thank him for the painful lessons.
Thank him for the bumpy rode.
Thank him for never leaving you.
Now apologize because you doubted him.
Tell him you love him.
Now sleep.
