Schatzi

Schatzi

A Poem by Alan Torres

I once met a girl.

She looked like a dream. Her beauty was impossible.

But I knew she was real. As real as the beats she caused my heart to skip.

She made the day fly by, and the night last forever.

Shes the inspiration for all the muse in this world.

She taught the moon how to shine.

I’d love to call her my schatzi.

I never will.

Thats alright, I don't deserve such perfection.

Who am I to be notice by a queen?

A poor scribe that I am.

She will rule with beauty and perfection.

I will write about it.

Thats alright, I know my place.

I will live for unreachable love

I will work for unreachable love.

I will die for unreachable love.

Thats alright. I was happy.

The single smile she gave me once made it all worth it.

Long live the Queen.

Long live my schatzi.
