Close and Lean In 

Imagining that first moment 

Our first kiss to be precise

wondering how Its going to feel 

and the method I use to entice

I play it through in my mind 

I need you here to do the rest

but a lovers first kiss is important

I hope to pass this test 

An awkward lean a momentary pause

could change this moment forever

its fine that you would understand

but forget this I will never 

you stand before me a vision of perfection

an angel in disguise

moving towards you feeling anxious

I’m falling within your eyes 

holding you close to my body 

I become weak at the knees

but now time holds no importance

the world around us does freeze 

I close my eyes as do you

and lean in for our kiss

our soft lips touch one another

I’m happy I didn’t miss 

our mouths now slightly open

our tongues come out to play

but gently we do move in motion

our rigorous tongues a roaring ocean 

I brush the hair behind your ear

open one eye slightly just to know you’re here

neither of us want to end 

this true loves first embrace

our first kiss was so magical

your mouth I love to taste

many more will follow

but none quite strong as this

feeling the butterflies the beating hearts

our perfect first kiss
