TwinZ

TwinZ

I’m ashamed to admit that you’re my twin
so weak and nerdy
leaving me perplexed
our image is all we share
when you try to become annexed
Just leave me to do my own thing
I don’t want to hang around
I want to be so far from you
always dragging me down
I worked hard for my reputation
feared among our peers
teaching you another lesson
don’t show me your balling tears
you say I will die young
when all I protect is you
I take all the hassle you would receive
but I keep it from your view
I’m not always going to be here
I wish that you could fight
your so dependent on my courage
what happens when I’m not in sight
socially you are oblivious
to the stress that you cause
Then you have the audacity
to point out all my flaws
I trust you more than anything
a long future you will brave
all this training on self belief
so your own life you can save
our image is a curse in your shadow I remain
I may be the big guy when young
but you have the brain
So at the minute we are each a one
But in the future we will be two
you may hate me now
but I won’t stop loving you

I like the meaning behind this poem.. Siblings all the way back to Cain and Able have had these issues arise in thier live but the last line is what makes all the conflict more meaningful, because the love is rarely lost

So at the minute we are each a one
But in the future we will be two
you may hate me now
but I won’t stop loving you

I dont see this as a twisted piece, rather a excellent devotion to two who are one twins. God Bless you and Gwen on a marvellous write. Tell her if she would like to befriend me she may. 100/100 and going in my favorites Wonderful to read your work again Ashley! I missed your verse

Anger within this. I loved this piece. Definitely not what I expected from the title. :)

I love this. It's like me and my cousin. I'm older and I can take care of myself. She's smart and I was always sticking up for her. Now we go to different schools.

nice! the toil of the siblings - even more so twins - sharing a face, like a tangible shadow perhaps! I like!

This is very well written. I love the point/counterpoint to Gwen's work. My Aunt and Uncle lived very separate lives, but there was a tangible psychic bond. Glad to read you won't stop loving your twin, Mr. Black.
Nicely done!

Very honest and greatly written. No matter how much you want them away, the love is still there. A descriptive and meaningful poem, I like it quite a lot. Great write :D
