Iodine, Dear FriendA Poem by {A}shley {B}lack @-;-A poem About Self HarmIodine ,Dear Friend That oh so familiar smell that initial little sting cloaking up the ruby droplets which seep out of my skin drawing my friend razor from his hiding place another surgical incision the relief a welcomed grace trickling onto pre arranged covers the deep crimson line in sight touching the cloth this deep colour expands and soon turns light Gazing upon reflection from this unforgotten friend reaching for the iodine so the incision can soon mend another scar to bare another tear in the skin but the release of such emotion I couldn’t bare to hold within © 2011 {A}shley {B}lack @-;-Author's Note
