I know He's there

I know He's there

"

A poem about finding out the truth

"
I Know He’s There

We are at that place I wished we wouldn’t ever be
when we remain just friends our tie has been cut free

You tell me how we will still talk
and meet up from time to time
but how many other ex’s have you fed this line

So we part ways and sure enough In contact we do stay
but then it starts being different our friendship it does fray

Messages are few and far between and this does frustrate
after breaking my heart I offer to you my friendship on a plate

How dare you toy with my emotions
how dare you treat me this way
I’m giving you chance to remain a friend
I’m owed an explanation and I think its time you pay

The message is replied and the truth soon does arise
“I have hurt you so much so I’m stopping with the lies”

Pain, Anger and Aggression
As I put my fist through the door
How could you string me along
you self-righteous f*****g w***e

Ruby droplets stain my clothing
You crushed all my belief in you
A lie right from the start
all the times you weren’t with me
meeting him was your art

So now I know what’s with the distance
I laid my heart out bare
now cover it from you
Because I know he’s there

Now A choice I must make do I go around?
I’ll let you my readers decide where my feet are bound

I think you answered the question with the line, "you self-righteous f*****g w***e" It's quite a lovely day for a stroll don't you think?

wow, this actually knocked the wind out of me. The emotion was conveyed VERY well. This sounds too raw for a storybook ending, in my opinion...life can be harsh. What will you do when "he" leaves "her"?

Once again, you've nailed that emotion! So many of us have shared this experience, but it takes special talent to voice it for us all. Knowing smiles on all your readers?
