Cry for the Fading Light

Cry for the Fading Light

A Poem by {K}

I sit and watch the
Sunset,
Eyes filled with tears,
I cry and watch the fading
Light,
Wishing you were here.

The oranges like a
flame,
Burning like your
soul,
Your heart like the light of the sun,
A 24 karat gold.

The red is like your
anger,
Now slowly fading
away,
You can never stay mad for long,
It's just the way you're made.

And now as the gleaming glow,
Slowly disappears,
I'm still crying,
my eyes are wet,
Wishing you were here.

I really loved this poem, a lot. It really spoke out to me, very well too. Feelings were torn into this poem, I can feel it myself. Wonderful job at writing this poem, talent you have. :)

Quite moving and with some good wording. I wondered if the dying light in this piece, is either a metaphor for human loss, death or simply missing that special someone? It seems that the writer, has chosen to leave that to the reader's imagination? Quite good - keep writing!
