Red Polka-Dotted TeapotsA Poem by {K}A simple dream...
Byron, my brother, who's three,
in the middle of the night, came up to me, "Michael, oh Michael!" He whispered then said, "Oh, do get out of bed! I must tell you the dream I had!" Moaning, I reply, darkness cloaking my sight, "Byron, it's the middle of the night!" He says back, slight fear coloring his tone, "Yes, don't worry, I know, I know!" Looking around, as if for something bad, he squeaks, "I think I've gone mad!" Byron continues, as if I have information he sought, "In my dream, I dreamt of red polka-dotted teapots!" I smile, pat his head and reassuringly say, "I dream of those kinds of things everyday!"
