The Girl Who Said No

The Girl Who Said No

A Poem by {K}
"

One little word...

"
"No."
She said, one word.
"No."
Fury rose, her father's face red.
His fury came out, in his fist.
But she still said "No."

Her mother ordered her around as if she was nothing.
Then, she said, "No."
A bruise appeared on her cheek.
But she still said, "No."

One little word.
One little power.

The man knelt down on one knee.
He pulled out a box.
And she changed her "No" to a
"Yes."

Deep, and sad, until you get to the end. This is very cute. I like it.
