RachelA Poem by {A}shley {B}lack @-;-A poem About My MumRachel The woman I care for more then any other the one who is always there my wonderful mother you will never realise how much you truly made me grow this poem I write for you my feelings on show I remember the bad times I’m sorry I must say I wish I wasn’t so helpless to protect you from him at least one day you were so strong to keep our family from falling apart even if him coming home shouting would often break your heart now I am older I realise how great you are staying within your heart even if I live far I feel we have spoken more as adults then when I was young but I don’t regret this change im proud to be your son Remembering times dropping books on your head mothers cruel jokes pretending that your dead joining my library supporting my dream being there whilst I was broken hearted always being there my shoulder to which my head lean I’m sorry for my insults but future illness I cant bare wishing you would cut down so you will always be there your looks and laugh I take from your genes your love and your comfort ive needed from my teens now I’m a man to which I hope you are proud you’re my rock my protector not another face in the crowd I love you mum don’t you ever forget not telling you as frequent is all I regret © 2011 {A}shley {B}lack @-;-Author's Note
