His Pain , His Power , His Family

"

This is A poem about an abusive man who feels he is causing no pain

"
His Pain ,His Power ,His Family

This magnanimous head of the tree the provider the inspirational decider
forcing his respect not earning the love
no rose between this thorn
A family wanting to escape love not a sacrifice when the shirt the soul mate he declared undying love for is torn
so he sits there staring and the ruby juices stained upon his fist
Swinging at all members of his pack becoming enraged by there defences and his inaccuracy from his friend jack causing him to miss

How could you hurt me? how could you take them away?
how could you torment me?
I have given you everything including this day
victimising himself while the ruby droplets approach and stain the floor a darkened patch that will never clear and will remain A constant reminder in the future and for evermore

I have the power to stop them I have to scare them with my unrelenting force
but this method was the action that makes him feel remorse
a flash of red and blue shine through his window as a single tear drops onto the now rhythmic fist anticipation looming and hairs raising as the box becomes his future for the risk he made to keep his family

His power was the first of many to save him from his soul
his family to keep their love remained his one true sadistic goal

This was interesting. It gave a new way to look at into the abuser's state of mind, and was very powerful. You latched onto this reader's emotions all the way through, painting a picture as to what was going on.

I think this piece shows great insight to a horrible situation. You did a good job of approaching the topic from a different point of view and showing the arrogance and hypocrisy of an abusive person's mind.

This poem is very strong and agressive. it sends a message, a wake up call to all the son of a b*****s out there that abuse their family, it urges them to WAKE UP! Before its to late. Every thing about this poem is right on and its a terrific piece

That is a very interesting and impressive poem, " his one true sadistic goal " !
I love your way in description, you develop strong emotions, and it absolutely didn't glorify abuse it helps understand the other perspective that people never care enough to consider or think of, great job!

The desire for love...can become the need for control...can become the police sirens. This is a topic I am familiar with. It's easy to hate my pop when I think about those times but when you are brave enough to try and understand...not agree obviously, but understand...you almost can't help but have pity. This poem dares to understand.

wow, i thought your poem was strong, dark and full of emotion. it expressed the other side of abuse that many do not think of but you did it without glorifying it. i definitely enjoyed reading it.
