On llThe Brinks of a Lovely Insanity

A Poem by Luke
"

sometimes love goes farther than many may think death can't stop it neither will insanity

"
I'll be here when you're gone
my love won't die when your heart gives way
I'll keep running when your breath stops
I'll keep writing when you're dead
I'll keep fighting when you lose
I'll stay with you when you leave
I'll drown while you burn
I'll fly when you fall
I'll kill while you're being killed
I'll write numbers while you go crazy
I'll light fires and you'll pour the gasoline
I'll destroy while you kill

This is really...different, but in a good way. I like how your poem limns the theme of love transcending insanity and all other things throughout. Most of the lines contrasted one lover's state with the others, which was cool, and then it ended with a really abrupt and macabre final line. Reading through the poem, I could see how what at first was sentimental devotion evolved into something less cute and more like madness.

I think you could build on this some more by putting more content in the middle of the poem to further detail the transition, but as it stands you did a nice job.
