How He Mends My Heart

How He Mends My Heart

A Poem by *~WildFire~*

How He Mends My Heart

He smiles

and I can feel the warmth

as if it was a childs laughter

filling my heart

with care.

His fingers wraped with mine

sew the wounds of my heart

by each layer of words

cut so deep.

And with his tears

he heals my scars

to where they are no more.

His heart

is the stable shelter

for mine to stay

forever.

His blood

runs through my veins,

for which with only his blood

makes my heart beat,

and without it...

my heartbeat shall become faint,

weak and weary,

and my last fallen tear

shall be of my last drop of blood

shed for him.

His arms

are my castle,

he provides stability

when I am weak and unstable.

His eyes

are the day dreams

of my night

in candy clouds of lullaby,

and sweet sensation

of long lost wonders.

The taste of his lips

brings so many memories

of fantasies of once upon a time.

His breath,

the one of a kind,

only him and no one else,

the taste that fills my lungs

he is my life supply.

By the touch of his hand and body

of when he holds me dearly

close to his desirable heart

he makes my heart sing

and my body scream for his loving arms

to catch me as I fall,

because his touch

makes me weak.

His voice

compared to no other,

heavy, but gentle,

is made known by me

from a far off distance

becoming more loving

and caring

with each step

he takes closer to me.

When his words are weak

and his face is flushed with weariness,

I touch his face,

look him in his teary eyes,

and say, "I love you"

to reassure him of my love for him,

and maybe he'll understand

how he mends my heart like no other.
