Heaven Can You Help Me

Heaven Can You Help Me

A Poem by sivan

Hands up raised towards the sky

Looking for answers,

Regretting the chances you held onto too tightly

And back toward the stars

You claim your place among the scarred.

Hold onto that shard of glass that got you here

And store the events of last night in this:

The place where dreams go to die.

I like the Stars/Scarred part the best. :)

I love how this poem paints what the person brings with them through time as something violent (shard of glass, chances held onto too tightly etc.)

I love the line: "You claim your place among the scarred." That just hit it out of the park for me.

I like the last line particularly. My only critisism would be that perhaps the "onto too tightly" is a little awkward. But overall a nicely written piece!
