An Epilogue to Pain

An Epilogue to Pain

A Poem by sivan

An epilogue to pain-

And you are gone now.

I still hear you

Chanting sweet symphonies-

To someone else’s heart.

I still feel you

The weight you left is still a part of my bearings

And I can’t let go.

A soliloquy,

The highest rank in me

You were awarded,

But now another person stands before me

Asking to take your place,

Begging to not be judged by

The standards you have set,

But I find that you

Are all I seek.

Immediate rejection by my system,

She is not at all your equal

And I

Am looking for the sequel

To you.

...
. sheer genius ... you narrated perfectly ... and ended exquisitely ... that word "sequel" worked like magic ... intense poetry ... very, very expressive ... i know this emotion and it's not at all easy to express ...
