With All My SensesA Poem by sivan
Every so often
I catch the stench of last night's beer on a passing stranger and then I can smell you on my skin again. Every so often A berg wind through the window blankets me in its soft, warm comfort and then I can feel you in my arms again. Every so often I hear the beating of drums through the walls of a run down reggae joint and then I can hear you calling my name again. Every so often I bite unconsciously into your favourite snack and savor it's familiar flavour and then I can taste you on my lips again. Every so often I stumble over my feet in the rush to outrun my own mind and then I can see you as if you were standing before me again Every so often, with all of my senses, I am reminded of you again.
