Just a side thought...

Just a side thought...

A Poem by sivan

Seeing you today kinda got my mind tracing back to yesterday, got me thinking, what was that you said? The hottest love usually has the coldest end. My heart has become an ice cold friend I have to share my space with. Where did this past year and a half go and why can't I see you when I look to my side? It's all a blur but I do know that your business is no longer my concern; that doesn't curb the feeling I get when you walk into the room. What happened to who we were because I felt like I was part of you as you were me. Where does that leave us? - in the damaged pile? Caught up between lost property that isn't missed. I should have kissed you when we were alone. I'm home but the walls feel like your name is written across every contour. And the spinning of my fan seems to beat to the rhythm of you as you danced to the last song playing in the last place we both were and I was hoping that would never be the final goodbye but I know to never say never 'cause see I thought we were forever but now its hard just to be in a room together.

This reminds me of a past relationship I had. Only now I despise the fool who had me so blinded. But your words are lyrical and beautiful.

Wow... "my heart has become an ice cold friend I have to share my space with"
-- that line is killer! i can feel the heart-rending angst in this piece. Nice job.
