Lost in YouA Poem by Susie QA poem about a girl who realizes she love someone, but feels too tainted to be loved in returnLost forever in your words
I read your words; they gushed from the pages and vigorously coursed throughout my veins. I studied your face, that which illuminated each and every trivial element that surrounded your presence. You spoke to me; such an enchanting voice; I fell powerless to your charisma, that irresistible charm. You gently stroked my milky skin, my hairs stood up as each nerve became aroused and ecstasy consumed my mind. You told me that I was beautiful, and god knows I wanted to believe you. I told you of this monster that you call “beautiful”, and you just wiped away the tears and explained that it wasn’t I who was the monster. How do I react to this man who sees me as an angel? Not as a w***e… Not as a freak… Not tainted by the fiends… Not driven insane by the deviants… You see me as the person I am right now… the woman that loves you unconditionally. When you kissed me gently and gazed into my eyes, I melted. Holding me close to your chest, I knew that nothing could damage me again. Lying next to each other that cherished night, you said that you loved me like no other. Taken aback by what I thought I hear you say, I remained silent. I can’t let this man hurt me, this can’t happen again. Stroking my face you looked to me for a response, any response at that point. I loved you like I have never known love before; it was so effortless, so genuine, so innocent, and childlike even. I had known you for so long Michael, that man I dreamt of that would love me… the real me. You have my heart Michael; I’ll always stand at your side
