About Me
So what's the most important thing to say about myself? I guess the overarching aspect of my personality is that I am a scientist, an astrophysicist to be precise. Not that I am touting science above all things, but this goes a long way in defining how I look at the world, life, etc. It pretty much colors everything that I do. If you want to see why physics consumes me so, read "Looking to the sky", one of my stories, an essay really, but they don't have a catagory for that on WritersCafe.
So what am I doing here at the WritesCafe? Well I like stories. I like poetry too. My wife will verify that, since I often recite memorized pieces at a drop of a hat. While I do a lot of professional writing, I've also spent some time writing a book. Frankly, I ran into WritersCafe accidentally while I was surfing the web to find someplace I could put up a few introductory chapters. But now I'm here, and I've been looking around. I like what I see. There's lots of interesting stuff.
So I've past my first anniversary at WC and I've also been writing poetry for almost exactly a year (joined in June 2008, started writing poetry in July). I must say that writing poetry has been tremendously rewarding personally. I have WC and all my friends on WC to thank for that. So thank you all. You know who you are!
That's about it. If you want to find out more, just drop me a line. You can also Google "Richard Puetter", "Rick Puetter" or "Pixon", the patented image processing method I developed for astronomical imaging and that I am now commercializing.
Best regards and I'll see you around...
Rick
