I am in college studying linguistics and naturally I am a lover of languages and their use. This does not, however, mean that I am a grammar nazi, nor a dictionary thumper; the linguist and the English teacher are not one and the same. I love words and their meanings, these are very important to me and I am saddened when certain words lose their flavour by popular overuse, but I do not spend all my energy correcting and critiquing while failing to enjoy it. Whatever a word means it must be relevant to the reader and its use should be defended.

Taking this into account, my spelling is terrible when not checked by the spell check (the English alphabet is horridly incompatible with phonetics); my grammar is not always "proper", but it is more natural to the way I think and speak (besides it is English people, not latin), and if something makes sense I will use it (and I am perfectly "alright" with that). So all in all I appreciate glaring errors being pointed out, but give me grace for not being perfect.

My creativity never stays in one place for long so my writing will come and go as it ebbs and flows from the literary arts, to acting, to visual arts, to attempts at chain mail (not very successfully I might add) and recently to building the Iron Giant out of pop (oh dear, now I am on controversial turf, perhaps I should use the more politically correct "soft drink"?) cans. It will suffice to say that the reader looking for a consistent flow of new material would do best to look else where.
