About Me

A little bit of Stephen Hawking, a little bit of James Bond, a dash of Santa Claus, and a whole lot of just Me. I'll be adding things in slowly. Mostly because the computer I currently have my writings stored in I am unable to access without breaking a limb or three.

If you don't have a sense of humor, you probably won't want to be my friend. I'll just annoy you and horrible things will happen and it will be a waste of everyone's time.

In blogs and profiles and whatnot, I type how I would normally speak. That is to say, casually. This typically does not transfer to my writing. In my writing I employ more structure yet hopefully still entertain. Keep this in mind.

Other than that, I've been writing since I was four. No really, at that age I created my own version of Snow White with some assistance from my parents. They had to set up the typewriter and stuff for me. I've since moved on from stories about cats liking macaroni salad to more mature topics. Like soup bowls. Oh, and serious topics like religious doubt and poetry.

All the photos I add are either taken by me or artwork done by me. I miss playing with developing chemicals :(

I've recently given up video games so I could spend more of my concentrated effort writing. I'm in the process of attempting to write two different fiction novels. I have a great respect for all who have come before me and those who are continuing to create such wonders. Writing is by no means an easy task. Good writing, an even harder one.

I think I'm done for now...

Sorry you have been MIA.
Perhaps you will find us so irresistable
this time around that you will just
bring your cot and stay for awhile.

So, I had a date night scheduled for the night my son got his shots (he's my first and only) and I was worried he wouldn't hold up well after getting them, but we went out anyway. The sitter called and had me come back after an hour because he had a fever and was inconsolable. He did super well when he got the shots but recovery was pretty painful.

I really hope yours does better than mine did.

I hear you about it taking so much longer to get ready in the morning. Babies are the biggest time sucker. I lose track of time, I'm always late, and inevitably something always goes wrong. Gotta love kids.

By the way, I have to brag- I'm all kinds of proud because my son can roll over every time I put him on his tummy now. He is such a champ lol.

Aw shots tomorrow, huh? That sucked so bad. Poor kids. I hope yours does awesome and that he isn't in too much pain! Remember, Tylenol about an hour before... supposedly it makes all the difference.

I hear you. I have made my own sushi at home a few times because it was so late that everything was closed and I just had to have it. Join my finer things club! I'm sitting here drinking water and watching the office. It's good times.
: )

By the way, I think my kid is teething already.
Feel for me.

Allow me to be the first to welcome you aboard on the journey of Writers Cafe'. This is a wonderful place to obtain opinions and grow in your writing - as long as you stay clear of the drama that dwells inside electronic lives.

I noticed you have a limited friends list, if I may offer you a bit of advice... In order to get profitable opinions and diverse feedback you may need to add alot of friends to your list.

The system of this place (most people do not even realize) is so: Your new writing is placed on the new writing list and gets pushed down the list with every new write published here. Soon, your writing is so far down the list, it becomes unnoticed and people do not click very often on those.

If, however, you have many "friends" you will have people coming to check your new works out and notice your writing... perhaps click on them and read - if it tickles their fancy, they will review. So, the way to add friends is to go about reading peoples work, reviewing them and then adding them to friends if they are interesting to you.

As with any social circle (human circles NOT omitted), there tends to be rumors, affairs, rumors about affairs, stalking, intimidation, distasteful criticism and many other things that is inappropriate.

So long as you can stick to the projected goal of becoming a writer not a victim of amateur predators you will get the best out of the site.

Enjoy your time here, and feel free to message me anytime.

Great to make your acquaintance,

Legacy
