Yes, it may seem confusing, but it is only so because you haven't read Abukara Magic, which lays down the whole setting of the story.

Length wise, this is just based on a person's preference. You may not like reading long chapters, but I do. I don't like reading small chapters, so I tend to go for long novels or light novels with long chapters.

Grammatical errors, I don't see where you're coming from with that. I find myself speaking normal English, please explain this one.
