9 June 2009 Tuesday- random thoughts... what are quarks and what is a quantum computer; what about a quantum microscope? And why can't one store light? Will we be able to define who we are by changing our DNA? Why not? Would that be against the law. Would God mind? Why would God give us a brain if he/she/it didn't want us to evolve and become better?

Does everything have to be about money? I read that a tribe that didn't own land (individuals didn't) was to be changed to private ownership... well then people could buy their land... what would it be like if no body owned anything?

28April2009 Tuesday- I guess I'll explore some transhumanist articles. There doesn't seem like there is many of us, but just because there is more than one, is uplifting. One wishes there was something one could do... at my age there doesn't seem like there is much, but perhaps I am completely wrong! I've certainly been wrong about many things in this life; why not this? A few articles up? That could be a start.

21April2009 Tuesday-
***Its cold and rainy. Maybe snow. Been home in Lake for almost two weeks! Finally got the water completely on in the house. (It still may be leaking out of the washing machine?). Now for the apartment.
***Called my old employer and friend. Got caught up on all the Clare gossip... what has happened to the people I know who worked for her. Asked her if she knew anybody she could trust (mistake, she isn't a good judge of character?) that would like a place to stay in exchange for helping out on the grounds and cleaning. She said she had a young man who might be interested.

***Waiting out the snow storm (its not that big) in the KOA in Korbin, Kentucky. The cold is miserable, but I have missed the snow! Wintering in the south... no snow! How can a person miss snow? I do though; watching big fluffy flakes fly by the window... I do miss the snow. Free internet here. Tomorrow on the road and off the net until?

***Off the net today and on the road! The road goes north into the cold! Probably make a trip to the local community college once a week.


BIO-

Married, 64, male, searching for something that alludes me... I believe in God today, but tomorrow may not. And I love dogs and cats (and have 3 and 4 respectively).

I was searching the "ning.com" sites and I found a transhumanist site. It was perfect, exactly what I believe!

I feel optimistic about the future and the future of mankind. I believe some day-
***we will be able to enhance the human body so that disease will be detected and removed;
***the brain will connect to the "a wireless net" and ESP will be common place;
***science will unravel the atom and everyone will have all the energy they need (free);
***war will be eliminated. (there is some question in my mind concerning the need for power of humans... )
***a smile is a thousand times more desirable then a frown.
