Writing |
About MeBorn and raised in Oregon, where it rains, all the time. Seventeen years old. I will be eighteen next time the date happens to be July 5th. I am pretty anti-social. Except for people I get along with. And writers. Most writers I've talked to are very cool people. I am the overweight storyteller. Incorrect grammar, abbreiviations (sp?) (examles: lol, omg, wtf?) and using numbers in writing (example: "there were 24 balloons, Mom.") bothers me. I try my best when critisizing (sp?) to be kind but honest, to say what needs to be said, and not be cruel. I think I do a god job of it. Sometimes I apologize. "Kill your darlings." I am also a bad spiller. I mean, speller. Lol jk. I mostly write science fiction. I haven't written anything else since I was small. I have written for as long as I can remember, and have always had a passion for it. After sixteen years, I have isolated why. It is becuase my mother has been a bookworm all her life. When I was young, some subconcious part of me must have picked this up, and wanted to write myself, to make her happy. I remember drawing pictures for the stories I wrote, (ones that never seemed to get finished), thinking I would get them published. I have probably been too influenced by other authors, but I think lately I have finally developed a style to call my own, not unconciously copying other people's ways of the word. I like to listen to: AC/DC Angels and Airwaves The Beatles Blink-182 Flogging Molly Green Day Guns N' Roses Jet Led Zeppelin Linkin Park Lost Prophets The Misfits The Offspring Pink Floyd The Postal Service Queen The Ramones Sugarcult System of a Down The Who That's pretty much everything on my iPod. While I listen to music, I sing along, rather badly. I adore video games, and it provides as a distraction from writing. I do not do well in school, and have no other interest than writing, nothing I really want pursue. So I really just want to make my living writing novels. I don't know what I'll do if I can't do that. Critisizm is NOT appreciated. Constructive critisizm is. Comments
