Travis Green

My name is Travis Lee Green and I was raised in Middlesex, NC. I have a single mother, Sandra Mitchener, who have stood by me since I was very young. My dad, Robert Green, died in a car wreck when I was a baby. So I never got a chance to know who he was. But what I do know is that he lives in my heart and as long as I keep him alive, I will always have a piece of him wherever I go. I went to Southern Nash High School and I also graduated from North Carolina State University May 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. I'm in the process of writing my autobiography entitled Life and Dreams and hope to have it published in the near future. I want to discuss my life and how my knowledge can help inspire others around the world. I love to read, watch TV, and hang out with friends. I'm also an artist who loves to draw various things. Since I have been drawing in the 10th grade, I have come to love every unique feature about art. Art is a very powerful element that can be used to express yourself in various ways. Regardless of what mood you're in, you can always sit back and sketch out a scene of your feelings. I can promise you by the time you are finished sketching, you will be a completely new person. I remember a lot of times when I was feeling depressed and didn't know where to turn. But when I started drawing, it made me feel brand new. I love that feeling! I love how art have changed my life over the course of the years. I can see how my work have improved tremendously. And I can see where I still have areas to improve in too. Everything takes hard work and determination. You just have to believe in yourself and realize that you are somebody. You can in fact achieve the impossible. Look at my artwork and see how I far I have come. Don't let anyone tell you you're nothing. That's a lie. You have all of the power in the world to change history. You just have to know it, feel it, and breathe it.
