About Me

When I was in college I was told I should not consider a career in writing. For the next 20 years I wrote nothing. About three years ago, I discovered blogging and fractals. I started posting fractals. Than I started added bits of prose to the images. Next, I started stringing two or three images together into mini stories. I never intended to write more than snippets to support the images I was creating. Then something unexpected happened in late 2005. I posted an image, wrote some text and from that posting, with very encouraging support from a few dedicated readers, more than 528 'chapters with over 527 original pieces of art flowed from I don't know where. The Story, as I call it, is ongoing and just over 205k in length with no end in sight. I just discovered this site and will try and post some of my writing along with the image for that post. The entire story (still ongoing) is published on my blog (link on my profile). Peace.

Reading the Story (A Primer)

The Story is written in a mosaic format. Each chapter (post) is like a tile and not always laid in linear or chronological order. In other words, The Story is not written as a book, has no real beginning or end and the plot is secondary to the internal (psychological) examination of the characters and their actions. New readers are encouraged to read the Who's Who and pick up The Story from the current post or any post for that matter. Starting at the beginning is neither necessary nor recommended. Enjoy.

I'm online here (Yahoo: tgeorge_16) and here (AIM: tgeorgevg2) Love to chat about writing.

B, don't be too hard on yourself. No first draft sees the light of day and I've yet to write anything I wouldn't rewrite given half a chance. I think you have an excellent foundation to tweak and capture the magic from the first post. The first post has a slap-you-in-the-face honesty that grabs the reader by the throat and just doesn't let go, it is a roller coaster ride that threatens at every turn to jump the rails, a train heading for a precarious valley crossing and the wind is picking up to gale level. That kind of tension and pathos is hard to capture time and time again. You have a talent. Keep writing. And, the pot calls the kettle black, try not to be too hard on yourself. :-D

Thank you so much for continuing to read and comment both on "Validation" and on my blog. I really appreciate your feedback.
To be honest with you, I just want to totally re-write chapter 2. I was in a hurry to put it out there because I wanted to prove to myself that I would actually move forward with it. Well, now it's here... and I just might tear it down and start all over! We'll see.
