About Me
I graduated high school in 2008, and since then I went to a community college for 2 years, then decided I wanted to go to school online because I was sick of always being on someone else's schedule. I got my Associate of Science degree in Business Management, and currently work full time as an assistant manager of a restaurant. I also run my own business from home. I've always enjoyed working for myself more than I have working for anyone else, and my goal for the next year is to have my home business be my full time job, and from then on to never work in corporate America again.
I've always had a passion for literature, and originally wanted to major in English. That changed when I figured out I could make a much larger annual salary working in business than I could being an English teacher. Now it's just a hobby. No, it's more than a hobby....it's what keeps me alive.
I especially enjoy writing poetry and short stories. Maybe someday I will write a full novel. I enjoy reading literary classics and modern classics. A few of my favorite books include, Life of Pi, The Kite Runner, The Odyssey, The Canturberry Tales, Nothing to Envy, and The Rhythm of Life. I also enjoy books for young adults and even kids such as Pendragon, Cirque du Freak, and anything by R.L. Stine.
Besides having a love for English, I am not a typical bookworm or writer. In fact, if you saw me in passing, you wouldn't think I'd even have an interest in literature. I'm a 22 year old California girl. I am into longboarding, skateboarding, surfing, and video games...strictly Xbox 360 and PC. Any type of game is fun to me, I'm into anything from Skyrim, to MW3. The music I mostly listen to nowadays is reggae, but I love trance, punk, and some alternative. Favorite movies are, Mirrormask, What Dreams May Come, Lords of Dogtown, and Ink. I'm really into historical Korean dramas because I love Asian history. My favorites are The Great Queen Seondeok, and Iron Empress.
