About Me

Graduate of Western Michigan University with a BA degree in Writing, which has been my passion since the tender age of six. Grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan where I currently reside. I love to read all kinds of books, although my favorite works are the classics, such as William Shakespeare, Leo Tolstoy, Homer, and Rudyard Kippling, just to name a few. I also like and appreciate the works of J. K. Rowling, Ralph Ellison, James Redfield, and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

My favorite book of all time is The Odyssey by Homer. William Shakespeare is my most favorite writer of all time. My favorite Shakespeare play of all time is Mac Beth. My other favorite Shakespeare plays are Romeo and Juliet, and Henry VIII. I am currently reading Shakespeare's play "All's Well That Ends Well", which is becoming one of my favorites, as well. I'm also a fan of Oscar Wilde, Tennesee Williams, John Donne, and Alexander Pope. My favorite poem of all time is "Holy Thursday" by William Blake .

My favorite kinds of music to listen to is Alternative Rock, Dance, Pop, Mediterrenean, Latin, Irish, Middle Eastern, some Acid Rock, Heavy Metal, R & B, Byzantine, Country Western, some Gospel, Broadway, and many, many other kinds of music. I often listen to music when I'm writing, in that it helps me overcome writer's block. It is also very inspiring. I also draw inspiration for my writing from my own life experiences, in addtion to drawing out elements from the lives of people I know, from my family, friends, and colleagues and such, in additon using the media for inspiration. I get inspired from the world both near and around me. I love to write, because not only is it a form of therapy for me, but it helps me to obtain a better perspective with regard to my own life, as well as from the world outside of myself.
