I am a semi-retired freelance writer and I divide my time between my kids and grandkids in Idaho, and my wife and daughter in the Philippines. I spent more than a decade as a reporter, editor and publisher in the newspaper industry (weekly & daily), and another decade teaching and part-time writing for magazines.

Now I spend as much time as possible in the Philippines and write articles and stories on spec for a variety of magazines. I also write regularly for two (online/print) newsmagazines--one in California and one in Idaho.
