Poetry at work--
The Alzheimer's Poetry Project, founded and directed by Gary Glazner, helps people navigating memory loss, language loss, and dementia. By reading aloud to them classic poems they may have learned as children, he sparks and ignites communication (if only temporarily) and strikes chords of emotion within them that have long lain dormant. Read more at Alzheimer Poetry Project.com or contact Gary Glazner at 290 20th St. # IL Brooklyn, NY 11215 [email protected] Truly amazing!
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I was educated at the University of Pittsburgh where I studied literature and writing, and at the University of Dayton School of Law where I earned a JD.
I am especially inspired by Robert Frost, Robert Creeley, Billy Collins, and Richard Blanco (see his inaugural reading on Utube!) I love reading new poets too!
I am always reading and writing, reading and writing...
I recently published a short book of prose Woman Looking Down Selected Poems on Amazon.com which includes All I Got and Killing Cupid. I hope you like my poetry. Thanks for reading )
