About MeRiki is the author of the massive 3-volume (single-spaced!) 800-page 200,000-plus word fantasy novel "Everland." He is also the webmaster of the website www.everlandonline.com where his novel is free to read. In addition he is working on an online store to sell his books self-published (in case no publisher picks him up). At the moment he is also working on creating limited edition dolls based on his four main characters to sell along with the book in its various planned forms: a hardcover single volume and a paperback trilogy, maybe even a graphic novel/comics series.
Ricardo J. Amado was born in Cuernavaca, Mexico on August 26, 1982. Raised in Los Angeles, CA he has been serving in the US Army since July 2001. R.J. Amado is currently stationed at Fort Bragg, NC where he lives with his wife and four children, all girls. It was during his first deployment to Iraq from August 2006 to October 2007 that he began writing "Everland" to pass what little free time he had. When not at work, at home attending to his family or taking in the required minimum hours of sleep R.J. Amado utilizes what little free time he has available to press forward with the Everland Project in all its facets. R.J. What was supposed to be a short 12-part comics mini-series labeled "CP-1" meaning "Comics Project 1" quickly snowballed into the massive 200,000 plus word, 800 page single-spaced "Everland". Currently R.J. Amado is the sole author, editor, illustrator, historian and webmaster for the Everland Project. Oh, and for those who have not yet noticed, Riki likes to talk about himself in the third-person, just like Elmo! |
